Dr Edwards is the founder of Hazelwood Health Centre formed in July 1993. He is firmly committed to educating the next generation of doctors and mentors students through the John Flynn Placement Program (ACRRM).
Dr Vipin Vyas
MBBS, MPH, Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine
Cardiology, Antenatal Care, Gynaecology, Minor Surgical Procedures, Men’s Health, Chronic Disease Management and Preventive Medicine.

Dr Vyas graduated from Rajasthan University India in 2005. Arriving in Australia in 2007, he obtained his Masters in Public Health from University of Wollongong NSW in 2008. Working previously in hospitals in India, Queensland and Tasmania, Dr Vyas commenced with Hazelwood Health Centre in September 2015.

Dr Luxman Graduated in 2008 and worked in Bendigo, the Northern Hospital, Eastern Health and after hours deputising service.
Dr Renuka Balasubramaniam
Women’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, General Psychiatry and Aboriginal Health.
Dr Balasubramaniam graduated from University of Sydney in 2010. Since graduation she has worked in a few hospitals in NSW as well as QLD as a registrar in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Coronary Care and Psychiatry. She undertook training with Eastern Victorian General Paractice Training and attained special skills in dealing with Aboriginal Health and will be commencing at Hazelwood Health Centre at end of February 2019.
Dr Amit Prakash
Diabetes, Chronic Disease Management, Complex Medical Conditions, Geriatric Medicine, Disability and Preventative Health. He also intends to gain further experience and Qualifications in Skin Cancer Medicine.
Dr Amit Prakash Graduated from Ranchi University in India and has worked in India, Maldives and New Zealand before arriving in Australia in 2012.
Initially intending to specialize in General Medicine, he worked in Queensland and Hobart in a variety of medical specialties, but ultimately found his calling in General Practice.
Prior to joining General Practice, he was working as an Emergency Medicine Registrar in Latrobe Regional Hospital, Traralgon which familiarized him to the medical and social needs in our community in Gippsland.
He been working with us since September 2019 and is keen to continue to serve our community with over a decade of experience and knowledge behind him.
Dr Prakash is married with one child and his passions include travelling, reading and music.
